The 2nd generation of "Norisuke" work

The symbols of "Heaven" and "Earth," which are part of the "Eight Trigrams" praised in the "I Ching" for describing all phenomena and things in the universe, are depicted in a Kosukashi open relief. The Tsuba guard is crafted with a moderately low at Seppa base and slightly convex surface that leads sharply angled wide and thick edges of Dome-mimi edge. The fine iron color and the state of preservation are exceptional in this masterpiece.

The first generation Norisuke, known as Haruhira, was born in 1782 (Tenmei 2). The second generation was born in 1817 (Bunka 14) and initially signed his works as "Norishige." Both the first and second generations served the Owari Domain.
