Length of cutting edge 60.0cm Curvature 1.5cm Width of base 27.7mm Thickness of base 6.5mm
Blade construction : Shobu-zukuri, High ridge. There is less Fukura and sakizori curvature.
Forging(Hada): Hada is well kneaded mixing in with Mokune. There is utsuri- refrection works on hiraji. Whole Jigane becomes clear.
Hamon : Hamon is straight with Notare mixing in small gunome and habuchi is covered in bright Ko-Nie.
Boshi : Boshi is straight Yakitsume.
Nakago : Tang is in UBU and there is three ANA. There is two large character NOBU KUNI.
Nobukuni SADAMITSU who is a son of third generation of Kyo Nobukuni(Saemon-no-jo) had moved to Buzen, Kyushu province during Nanbokucho period. Chikushi Nobukuni school had prospered long period till Shinto term where master-hand smith YOSHISADA and his son YOSHISADA serving to KURODA-han was active.
This work was made by NOBUKUNI -a son of NOBUKUNI SADAMITSU who was a frontier of Chikushi Nobukuni school. Many of his works are handy smart sized Shobu-zukuri or Wakizashi. Superb Jigane is tight Ko-Itame mixing in with Mokume and Suguha is covered in uniform Ko-nie which is vivid and bright. This Katana shows a major identification of Chikushi Nobukuni family.
