A Tsuba made of Yamagane (unrefined copper) in large round shape. It features an openwork design of a wheel, and the wide wheel rim is inlaid with a pattern of cherry blossoms and arabesques with the color enhanced through the "Yakite-kuzurashi" chemical oxidation technique. The thickness gradually decreases from the slightly raised Seppa-dai towards the Mimi (rim).
The term "Kokon Kinko" refers to the general designation of metalworkers who created works before the Muromachi period and did not leave their signatures.
