The smith NOBUYOSHI who belonged to Mishina school, Igano-kami Kinmichi lineage, his real name is Takai Kinzaburo lived in Abura-no-koji, Kyoto.
His younger brother Echizen-no-kami NOBUYOSHI and Awa-no-kami NOBUYOSHI, both had moved to Settsu Osaka、three brothers strove for making swords in Kyoto and Osaka. This katana is long, wide, thick heavy on hands - magnificently shaped, full of warlike spirit, on demand of heroic Samurai. Forging is Itame hada mixing in with streaming Masame along temper. Surface is covered in uniform sparkling Ji-nie glitter. Hamon is ko-nie base, wide straight line, shallow wavy indication with small gunome of which frequent small feet works with whitish misty NIOI in the interior of temper. The entire temper gives off calmed and subdued impression.

Hilt : White Rayskin, black lozenge silk cord wrap, Fuchi/Kashira - Iron ground Dragon on waves, gold/silver Nunome style inlay, Menuki - Shakudo ground Yobori, Dragon, Tsuba - Iron ground Dragon on waves, gold/silver Nunome style inlay, Kojiri - Iron ground KIKU flower gold Nunome style inlay.
The graceful Koshirae is cool and refined to behave bravely but in polite. It is worth of mention that both sword and koshirae mounting remains in an excellent condition over 330 years.
Old gold foiled Habaki collar (top edge of gold foil tears out), accompanies Shira-Saya plain wood mounting.
