This is a superb work by 1st smith HIGO-DAIJO FUJIWARA SHIMOSAKA. He changed his name to YASUTSUGU on the 11th month of Keicho(1606) and his school had been flourishing until end of Edo period in Edo and Echizen province. This work was made in his earlier period before he named YASUTSUGU that is to say [Echizen Shimosaka]. This work is an outstanding product of ECHIZEN SHIMOSAKA and has a superb Ji-ha - Itame covered in thick Ji-nie with Chikei activity and Hamon is his typical NOTARE with various activity in Ha. Old polish and there is no significant KIZU in sound condition.
